Trips to the park throughout the TERM

The children will be going out in very small groups, so if you would like to help, please give your name to your class teacher for these trips – weather permitting.  Thank you in advance.

Monday 5th October2026: Harvest Collection for Wimbledon Foodbank

We have used St Luke’s for our Christmas Concert for the last 25 years, and we would be grateful if you would support their Harvest offerings.  We are asking for all children to bring in one item for the local Foodbank to coincide with our Harvest/Autumn theme.

Ruth from St Luke’s will be coming in to collect all our offerings on Tuesday 6th October at 9.15am.

Wednesday 14 October 2026: Cheese & Wine Evening

All are welcome to the first social gathering of the school year.  A chance to meet each other, and all our staff.  From 7.30pm onwards.  Parents only please!

Saturday 17 October 2026 10am:  BOOKFEST WIMBLEDON (worth a visit)

HALF TERM FUN

Half term dates: Monday 19 October 2026 – Friday 30 October 2026.
(Our “Half Term Fun” dates are Oct 19th-22nd and 26th-29th.)

Only 24 places available each day

• Days are available at a cost of £68per day (9.00am – 3pm) or £55 for a half day (9.00am-12.00 noon).
• All children must bring a packed lunch if staying for the full day.
• These sessions must be booked in advance and are non-refundable once booked.

Monday 9 November 2026 3pm-4pm & Tuesday 10 November 9am-12pm:  School Photographs by Annie Armitage
We have arranged for a Professional Photographer Annie Armitage (who we have been using for the last 10 years) to come and take individual photographs of the children, during school hours. We do also encourage siblings to attend.  If any parent does not wish for their child to be photographed, please let Miss Clare know as soon as possible.

Week of 16 November 2026:  ROAD SAFETY WEEK

This week we will be taking the children on a Road Safety Walk. If you are able to help us on the walk, please let your class teachers know.  All children must wear their WPMS uniform for the trip, dates to be confirmed.

Monday 23 November 2026 – 1 December 2026:  PARENTS’ CONFERENCe – Zoom

A chance for all parents to speak to the teachers to discuss their child’s achievements and set “new steps” for the future.  Appointments will be 10 minutes each, on Zoom. An email will be sent out to sign in for an appointment on Calendly.  We will be holding this event in the Autumn and Summer terms.

Monday 7 December 2026:  Christmas Concert – am

Everyone welcome. We will meet in St. Luke’s Church, Ryfold Road, Wimbledon Park. All children to arrive by 10am, ready to start the concert by 10.15am.  (Concert will take approx. 30 mins).  We hope you will stay for a coffee and a mince pie after the performance. There will be no school on this day (Staff training afternoon).

Friday 11 December 2026:  CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY/ END OF TERM Party

Everyone welcome from 9am until 12noon.  (Children only) Please wear your Christmas jumper.
