Letter to parents – October 2025

Dear Parents,

As most of you will be aware we had our Ofsted Inspection in the last week of the Spring term.  Some of you will have spoken to the Inspector, and for your input we are extremely grateful. 

The Inspector on the day deemed our setting to be Good, which is an excellent achievement in itself.  However, we are slightly disappointed that we did not repeat our Outstanding rating from 2019.  The staff and I work extremely hard on a daily basis to provide an outstanding setting for your children to attend, and we feel we do that, but our Ofsted rating is the judgement of one particular Inspector, on one particular day.  Unfortunately, on the day of the inspection, our Inspector found only two minor issues (which you can see in the report) which prevented her awarding us an Outstanding rating.

We knew that we were due an Inspection, and so had approached an Early Years Consultant (who was previously an Ofsted Inspector) to advise on any points that needed improving.  From the outset she felt that our setting should obtain an Outstanding rating, and was extremely surprised that we did not.  Her views on the outcome of the Inspection can be read in the PDF attached, and a link to her socials can be found here:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my staff for their excellent work in the care of your children, for their dedication to providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment in which your children thrive, and for their continued commitment to their roles.  I am sure that you would all echo my feelings.
